Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Deeside Branch

   
The Scottish SPCA is Scotland’s leading animal welfare organisation. Its objectives are to prevent cruelty to animals and promote kindness and humanity in their treatment. It has local volunteer branches throughout Scotland that raise funds and provide information.

 Banchory Show 2007
The Scottish SPCA Deeside Branch ran the Companion Dog Show within Banchory Show at the Bellfield Park on Saturday July 28th. There were classes for pedigree and non pedigree dogs over 6 months old, including Prettiest Bitch; Handsomest Dog, Best Old Paws, Best Rescued or Rehomed Dog or Bitch; and for Gundogs, Hounds and Terriers etc.

 Photographic Competition and Exhibition

An Amateur Photographic Competition was held in aid of funds for the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The competition was run by the Deeside Branch of the charity and winning entries from the six categories plus a selection of unplaced photographs from the high quality entry were exhibited from 22nd-27th July 2007 at Woodend Barn. There was an  array of delightful photographs from talented amateur photographers, both adult and children.
