ROTARY CLUB OF BANCHORY TERNAN
A DAY OUT FOR ALL THE FAMILY
All roads will lead to Milton of Crathes on Sunday, May 28, for Banchory Rotary Club’s popular vintage car and motor cycle rally which is one of the major events on Royal Deeside over the summer.
The renamed Rotary Wheels Rally is set to attract a huge entry of vintage and classic vehicles from enthusiasts from all over Scotland which always give great delight to both locals and visitors from further afield.
If you have a vintage or classic vehicle you would like to show the public now is the time to book your place by getting on to Banchory Rotary’s Facebook page where you can register and find out more about this wonderful event.
But it’s not just for vintage vehicle enthusiasts. Every year, thousands of visitors enjoy the family-friendly community atmosphere of the rally while raising money for local and national charities. The main beneficiary this year will be Banchory Community Football Club whose members will be assisting on the day.
The excellent variety of entertainment, games and some fine food from the market stalls all make for a great day out.
“My children love coming to the rally,” says rally chair, Michael Turvey. “Last year, they were running around on the treasure hunt and playing on the bouncy castle as well as learning about our great motoring heritage.
“I enjoyed talking to the owners of the vehicles on show – their passion for their cars came across in every conversation.”
Set close to the beautiful surroundings of Crathes Castle, sandwiched between the Victorian station of the Royal Deeside Railway and the River Dee, the Rotary Wheels Rally brings motoring heritage to life.
We look forward to extending a warm Banchory Ternan Rotary Club welcome to all visitors.
