About Ballogie Estate

Ballogie Estate has been owned and managed by the Nicol family since 1850 and covers 6,000 acres of farmland, moorland and forest. It is set against the majestic backdrop of the Cairngorms National Park, making it the perfect holiday destination for exploring Royal Deeside and beyond. It has a selection of unique accommodation, set in beautiful and varied locations around the estate and can cater for large family groups, corporate events and weddings, as well as smaller more intimate bespoke escapes. In addition to the holiday cottages and exclusive use properties, the estate has a variety of field sports and salmon fishing you can experience during your stay or you could simply enjoy some quality time with friends and family at Potarch; the estate restaurant, that specialises in  wild venison products and champions local produce.

 

Self-Catering Cottages and Exclusive Use Properties

Ballogie House:

This luxurious exclusive use property, is set in beautiful tranquil grounds and sleeps 15 in seven en-suite bedrooms. It is popular for weddings, special group celebrations and events and has been awarded Visit Scotland’s 5* accreditation.

 

Potarch Lodge:  

This beautifully refurbished property sleeps 14 in seven en-suite bedrooms and has a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area with wood burning stove. It is located next to Potarch Bridge and close to the River Dee, which makes it the perfect location to enjoy riverbank walks from the door. Potarch Lodge has been awarded Visit Scotland’s 5* accreditation.

 

East Balnacraig:

This unique newly converted property sleeps 6 and has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burning stove and beautiful rural views.

Greenlands:      

This cosy converted steading sleeps 4 – 6 and is located close to the River Dee. It has a charming west facing living area with double doors leading out onto a patio with garden furniture.

Ford Cottage:   

A unique, secluded, traditional granite cottage that sleeps up to 7 guests. It benefits from a modern extension that has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room with a large wood burning stove and stunning views overlooking the River Dee.

All properties are dog friendly except for East Balnacraig.
