Co-op Charity Banchory have just announced the grand total for their fundraising in aid of Aberlour Child Care Trust. A cheque for £3457.76 was handed over to Aberlour this week.
As part of St Ternan Fair week, pupils from the Hill of Banchory Primary School will be hearing about the history of Banchory on a special visit to Banchory Museum, they will learn more about the Fairs and Markets dedicated to St Ternan and look at some of the many photographs of old Banchory held by the Museum and Banchory Heritage Society.
Banchory's popular St Ternan's Fair is to be the pilot for a new concept of Heritage Fairs across the Shire prior to the celebration of Homecoming 2009.
