    Join the Jacobites and the Earl of Mar at Braemar Castle for an evening of food, wine and song. 300 years ago, the Earl of Mar joined the Jacobite cause to restore the king-in-exile to the throne, and plotted the 1715 Uprising here on Deeside. Enjoy dinner in the castle's Dining Room, where the fire will be blazing. An authentic 18th century menu will be served, and Jacobite era songs and music will be provided by local musicians.     Sponsored Walk in aid of Banchory Sports Village, Banchory - Scolty - Kerloch meeting at Burnett Arms Hotel at 8.30am , return walk time is 8 hours. Walk commences at 09.00am from the Burnett Arms Hotel, Banchory south via Dee Street to cross the Bridge of Dee on to Scolty. Then from the summit of Scolty downhill to Bowbutts Farm and on to Knockburn taking the Stock Mounth path to climb Kerloch. There will be breaks en route as we climb Scolty, at Bowbutts Farm, en-route to Knockburn and again as we climb Kerloch. If coming please bring with you a packed lunch, waterproof clothing and good walking shoes or boots.
