    Scottish Chamber Orchestra

    World-renowned Dutch violinist Isabelle van Keulen directs the Scottish Chamber Orchestra string players from the violin in this programme, which includes Mendelssohn’s youthful Symphony No 9 ‘Swiss’. Mendelssohn wrote the work when he was just fourteen years old following a family sightseeing trip to Lucerne, inspired by his beloved alpine landscape.     Banchory Beer Festival Summer 2015

    The summer festival will take place over three days, the 7th, 8th and 9th of August with the Sunday the 9th being a family friendly day. The festival will be held on the Deeside Rugby Club Pitches again. We'll be featuring some great beers, ciders, gins and potentially an additional drink to add to the range! As well as being passionate about the drinks we serve, we are also passionate about our food, thus this year we have scoured Scotland and will have some excellent street food vendors supplying a variety of tasty treats.     Curious: Tom Pritchard - Mouths of the Masses

    Mouths of the Masses considers our relationship to trust, wisdom and ageing. In whose voice do we place our trust and who is willing and able to carry this responsibility? Who do we elevate prematurely and damage through our hopeful attention? This one man performance aims to create a conversation into where the wisdom is in our modern society. This work will be presented as a rehearsed reading, followed by a discussion around the work’s themes with writer and performer Tom Pritchard.
