    Artists@ The Barn Opening Event

    This exhibition offers an opportunity to view a selection of work by artists attending workshops at Woodend Barn. This is a mixed exhibition with a wide variety of pieces in different media. Included this year will be artwork from some new classes, such as sketch booking and life drawing, as well as from our regular, on-going classes. Come along and see this colourful display of local talent and perhaps be inspired to find out how to become involved in making art at the Barn. Hot soup and scones served at this opening event. This workshop with Paolo Maccagno explores the Whiteout from the point of view of movement.Whiteout is research into the human potentialities of facing a "wall" and discovering new possibilities of movement.     Woodend Barn Musical Society: Atea Wind Quintet

    Recent winners of a Tunnell Trust Concert Award, the London-based Atéa Wind Quintet are the Associate Ensemble in Residence at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and Quintet in Residence at The Purcell School. They regularly perform across the UK including London’s St Martin-in-the-Fields and Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
