About this event:
A Japanese folk tale of a boy, his cello and some unexpected friends. Combining music and shadow puppetry, Gauche the Cellist tells the story of a musician who regains his confidence and self-belief with the help of some characterful woodland creatures, who encourage him while he practices his cello at home in the mountains. Composed by Shiori Usui for members of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, with puppetry by Vision Mechanics, Gauche the Cellist is a multi-sensory performance that will appeal to children and grown-ups alike.
