Calling all adventure lovers, the Kendal Mountain Film Festival Tour is coming to Banchory to share an incredible night of adventure stories. Watch the world's BEST adventure films - stories of talent, endurance and excitement to take your breath away! Ride icy waves in sub zero winter, chase tornados, run in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and mountain bike into the wildest reaches of your imagination. Plus hear from two incredible speakers: Scottish swimmer Colleen Blair has been swimming in open water since the age of 7. She was first person to swim across the notorious Pentland Firth, from mainland to the Orkney Islands and swam Loch Ness when she was 19. In June 2018 she became the first person to swim ‘The Minch’ – a 24 mile stretch of water between the Isle of Lewis and mainland Scotland. Uisdean Hawthorn is a Scottish climber with a love for big mountain routes. Over the last 3 seasons he has racked upa number of significant first ascents including The Giant (VII,7) and Han Solo (VIII,7). The night will be hosted by Festival director Steve Scott and we'll be giving away prizes from our tour sponsors.
